This Friday the school Summer holiday will start in Bayern. It has been a strange school year for students, teachers and parents due to Corona. And it most likely will be a different holiday too. A lot of people are staying (close to) home or within Europe. With all the news reports about rising numbers of corona infections, it has hard to keep up on where is it safe to travel, what are the rules and what should you take into consideration when going on holiday?

The German government has created a website full of the latest information about Corona. It is available in German, English, Russian and Turkish. It covers topic such as information about testing, prevention and the current knowledge about corona. It is updated daily so a good source to check out regularly.

 

The Robert Koch Institute

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is the government’s central scientific institution in the field of biomedicine. It is one of the most important bodies for the safeguarding of public health in Germany. They provide daily numbers and news about Covid-19 in both German and English. They for example provide daily situation reports that include numbers of people infected and died.

 

European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control

The European Union has developed a website with information about the current situation in Europe but also worldwide. It includes daily reports and assessments but also facts and figures about the virus.
