Here are 5 great tips for Munich to make the most out of summer:

1. Free the stage for Munich´s little circus artists at Lilalu!

Lilalu is a workshop – circus - program organized by the St. John's helpers (Johanniter) at Olympiapark where children from 4 to 13 years of age can learn how to juggle, do acrobatics, to skate, to train to be a cheerleader  and any kind of circus arts as well as practice sports according to their interests and age groups.

The workshops are supervised by specialists and your kids will enjoy these activities while making friends.

Another attractive aspect of the program, is that children actively participate in organizing the activities and coordinating them, always under professional supervision. This helps them to gain confidence and communication skills. The program is in German, but most trainers speak English and children are always open-minded and helpful. Find the descriptions to all workshops here:

2. Summer German courses for teenagers

How about your teenaged kids? For teens between 14 and 17, Munich Goethe-Institut has prepared a special summer course program designed to improve their German knowledge and to take part in cultural activities and enjoy the summer together. Depending on their language level, they will be immersed in the ideal learning atmosphere and get to know other teens in Munich.  You’ll find more information here:

3. Sport and adventure for your teen:

The adventure camp (a beautifully restored former hotel) is south of Munich right next to one of the most pristine lakes in the German Alps, Lake Spitzingsee. The view is wonderful, looking out of the window you´ll see either lake or mountains. The Adventure Camp is fantastic if your teen like sports & adventure - He will have lot of fun after German classes: we´ll go hiking with a GPS, build rafts or sleep outside by the campfire.
