Kanzyana is a project that aims to empower immigrant parents in their 'parenting abroad' journey and offer thought-provoking educational resources and well-thought-out content to build bridges between cultures in a fun and attractive way.

My work is the result of deep reflection, serious research and close collaboration with specialists. Kanzyana’s products are designed to promote family quality time, encourage proactive intergenerational dialogue and communication, and foster a sense of connection and belonging.

Kanzyana means “My Treasure” in Arabic and this is how I perceive our stories, heritage, knowledge and languages as humans but particularly as immigrants. Our voices and stories as immigrant parents, need to be part of the conversation on social integration and on our side, we need to start an honest discussion about raising a child on foreign ground and letting go of our own limiting believes and fears.

„There are two things parents should give their children roots and wings. Roots to give them bearing and a sense of belonging, but also wings to help free them from constraints and prejudices and give them other ways to travel.”

-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
